As you familiarize yourself with ASK and begin the installation process, ensure you have completed all steps below:
Alyks Sidekick comprises three main components: the Alyks Sidekick desktop application, the Assistant Library and Assistants. The only thing you need to explicitly install on your desktop is the desktop application.
The Alyks Sidekick desktop application is distributed as an EXE/MSI or DMG based installer which can be deployed using Group Policy or installed directly by a user with sufficient local privileges. The Alyks Sidekick desktop application has built-in support for automatic version updates and security patches. If users do not have permission to update applications, then you will be required to download and push updates using Group Policies or other similar means.
Users adding an assistant to their own installation of Alyks Sidekick do not require administrative access.

Install and launch Alyks Sidekick by reaching out to your Rotera Implementation lead for the installer file. Follow the Installation and User Management guides for more details
Once you start up Alyks Sidekick and log in with your account, you are now free to start exploring.
The Alyks Sidekick Sidebar is docked to the right side of your screen by default. The sidebar is where you can use assistants, change settings, create sidenotes, and visit the assistant library.

Assistants available for download can be found in the Library. Navigate to the bottom right corner of the Alyks Sidekick sidebar and click on Library. Then select Browse Assistants in the window that opens (it should be automatically selected). Search for the assistant you would like to download by using the search bar or scrolling through the options. Click on “Add” on the assistant you’d like the download and it will be added to yourAlyks Sidekick application.
If you are downloading Alyks, the user will be instructed to pick an application from the application picker. To get back to the application picker at any time, type “alyks settings” in the global search bar.
To clear all of the populated Whispers within Alyks Sidekick, hover over the “x” in the top right corner of Alyks Sidekick and click the “Clear Whispers” button.
From the menu at the top of the Alyks Sidekick sidebar, select “Log out.” If you wish to quit Alyks Sidekick and be automatically logged in on the next launch, select “Quit Alyks Sidekick.”
